To access this hiking trail, simply park your car along the street and head towards the starting point indicated by the red marker on the map. Although there are a few small signs at the trail entrance, it can be easy to miss if you’re not paying attention.
This trail is maintained by fellow hikers and surfers, so if you’re not in good physical condition, I wouldn’t recommend attempting it. Keep in mind that the trail can become very slippery when wet, and since many parts of it run along the edge of a cliff, exercise caution. Check out this trip report from a fellow hiker who took an unprepared date on it:
Once you reach the beach, you have a couple of options. You can walk south to enjoy some great surf or head north to encounter a nudist area. If that’s your preference, go ahead and explore it; I have no objections!
If you decide to hike south along the beach, you’ll eventually come across a peculiar mushroom-shaped house owned by the university, along with a parking lot. You can follow the road from there back up to your car or, if you’re feeling adventurous you can retrace your steps back the way you came down.
